King’s Harbor Church Care Philosophy
At King's Harbor Church we believe we are all called to the personal ministry of caring for one another. This ministry is dependent upon the authority and sufficiency of God's Word through the work of the Holy Spirit. God has equipped each believer with His Word and Spirit to care for one another by speaking the truth in love and bearing one another's burdens. His Word, both living and active, can be applied to all areas and circumstances of life by comforting the suffering and calling the sinner to repentance thus working to make them mature as they abide in Jesus Christ. We also acknowledge that there is a place for professional counseling yet it does not take away our commitment to walk with one another in the light of the gospel.
The diagram below models our process of care beginning from peer-to-peer and moving through to our elder team as more support is needed. That said, we realize this each person's situation is unique and may require moving up to higher levels of care based on the dynamics of a specific circumstance.
