6/15/21 Service updates beginning this Sunday, June 20
A couple of weeks ago, we provided a survey to help determine which Torrance service would be mask optional, and which service would be mask required. Thanks for responding and sharing your voice with us.
As a result of what you shared, our 9:00 a.m. service will be mask optional and our 11:15 a.m. service will be mask required. At this time, Church on the Beach will continue to require wearing a mask until our permit no longer requires it.
So starting this Sunday, June 20, here’s what you can expect when you arrive for services here in Torrance. We will no longer be taking temperatures before you enter the building. Our hospitality team will still be available to greet you as you arrive and help you find seats, but distancing will not be required. If you attend service at 9:00 a.m., you may or may not be seated near someone wearing a mask. At the 11:15 service, masks will still be required. We will continue to provide streaming options and overflow spaces at each service as well.
One thing that will not change at this time is registration for our children. Registration is a helpful tool to help us prepare to serve your kids to the best of our ability by having the appropriate number of rooms and staffing for each service.
In addition, events such as DWELL, our Wednesday night services for students, and our ministry trainings will become mask optional settings.
Thank you for your grace and patience as we move into this next phase of gathering. Grateful for how the Lord has moved among us and we are expectant for more to come!
Grace and peace,
- Pastor Mike (on behalf of KHC elders)
