Shawna and I, with our children Josh, Sarah, Judah and Zoe have been at KHC for 8 years. Shawna serves with the worship ministry. I have served on the parking team, as a life group leader, in men’s ministry and a small group leader in the youth ministry. Together we have led a rooted group, are currently part of the mobilization team that serves at Beacon Light Mission and lead a community group.
Hope for KHC
My hope, prayer and desire for King's Harbor Church is that as image bearers for God, we would be known for our relentless love, service and passion for God, His Word and one another. That, through living out of the Gospel, God would display His love through us and in doing so, transcend age, ethnicity and socioeconomic barriers resulting in an undeniable manifestation of God’s love to all we meet. That we would come to a great understanding of God’s heart for transformational (not transactional) relationships promoting diversity, unity and reconciliation. That with an uncompromising conviction, we would cling to the truth of God’s Word and allow its transforming power to set us apart for sacrificial service and incarnational living, for His glory.
I pray that we would come to our weekly gatherings to worship with expectant hearts, knowing that our great and awesome God meets each one of us, right where we are. My hope for us is that as Spirit filled and Spirit led sons and daughters, we would make space for the gifts that God has deposited in everyone. And that these gifts would be discovered, recognized, affirmed and exercised according to the grace given to us and as the Spirit wills.
I pray that God would use this church to “Go” advance His Kingdom, “Make” disciples and “Teach” God’s Word, courageously knowing that He is with us always.
