Henry was born in New York City and was raised in Maplewood, suburban New Jersey.  He is the son of immigrant Jewish doctors (dad, a Russian psychiatrist; mom, an Austrian endocrinologist).  In 1981, he came to faith, having lived a fully hedonistic lifestyle in Hollywood and Manhattan Beach.  Within three years of conversion, with a master’s degree in counseling in hand, he began his journey of 30+ years in vocational ministry.  God does surely “take the foolish to confound the wise.”

In 2006, Henry began attending and working at KHC as the Pastor of Congregational Care.

Historically, God has used him to be a vessel of exhortation, encouragement, and mercy.  He has had the privilege of training pastoral counselors; pre-marital counseling being his greatest passion.  He has also served in hospitality, prayer, and life group ministries.  Henry’s favorite part about his job is looking at our congregation and seeing God’s healing touch upon so many lives, marriages, and families.  Our God is indeed a redemptive God!

Outside of work, Henry loves going on picnics and walks with his wife, Cindy.  He has been known to swing at a golf ball or two from time to time, while periodically actually making contact.  He lives in Lomita with his wife Cindy and they have a son, Adam.
